“More is More” with Multi Layered Bracelets

Multi beaded leather bracelets is a HUGE trend right now, it creates a really eclectic Boho inspired look! To put together this style you can either buy a few different wooden, beaded, bras, rope, and leather bracelets and layer them together to create one large bracelet or you can keep it simple by buying a multi bracelet pack that already has all the different bracelets together.

Leather Cuffs “Chic Edge”

Leather Cuffs are still trending this spring, make sure to get them in bright colours to match your spring style!

“Strong and Sturdy” Brass Bracelets

A new comer this season is Brass, form pendants to bracelets we will be seeing a lot of Brass elements! Keep this look simple and clean by wearing only one or two bracelets for a fresh alternative style.

African Braided Bracelets “Keeping it Local”

The African theme seems to be hitting the international scene at full force, luckily for us here in SA we can get all these braided and beaded African inspired bracelets at just about every street vendor!

Bryan Boy

Coming to SA!

Marie Claire & Sunglass Hut SA

Fashion blogger extreme Bryan Boy will be visiting SA next week to present the Marie Claire Prix d’Excellence de la Mode for Best Fashion Blogger Award on August 31^st in Jozi. He will also be hosting two Blogging workshops and will be visiting Sunglass Hut stores while living it up here in SA!

Here are my top choices for Spring 2011!

Thin Leather Braided Belts

Love this style with shorts! Tip: Buy a longer belt and tie a knot in the front for a more trendy style!

Dyed Leather Braided Belts

Dyed Leather always look stylish and will go great with a pair of Jeans! Tip: Go for real 
leather (sorry PETA) because it will last you a lifetime!

Multi Coloured Braided Belts

If you want to add some colour to your look then a multi coloured braided belt will be prefect! Tip: Keep the rest of your outfit neutral to make the belt stand out more!

Winnie 
Movie Update
September 8^th

The 36^th Toronto International Film Festival will play host to the first screening of “Winnie” this September. I’m sure some of you know that I worked on the Winnie Mandela Bio Film staring Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard, so it goes without saying that I’m 
extremely excited to finally see the film!

Coco Chanel’s Apartment

For Coco Chanel, it wasn’t just about the little black dress, the perfume or the trademark pearls, it was in the lifestyle. The curtains in the lounge, the glassware on the dining table and the towels in the bathroom all meticulously designed to fit Chanel’s attention to detail. Chanel soon became less about the tweed suit hanging in the closet and more about living the life: the Chanel life.

Strategically located above the Chanel boutique, Mademoiselle Coco’s flat screamed pure indulgence. Considering she permanently lived in Ritz Paris, this apartment
 was solely a getaway for her and her guests.

The interiors draw influence from oriental handicrafts, Victorian wealth and Russian colours. Running along the royal theme, the colours are as rich as they can get, with splatters of gold, maroon, cream and midnight black. We see the infamous mirrored spiral staircase, from where Coco secretly watched all her fashion shows to witness the audience’s raw reactions.

This is definitely my kind of living, from the fine royal detail down to the endless pieces of couture that must have hung in Coco Chanel’s wardrobe!

The hottest trend this Spring/Summer is Shorts…guys are showing some leg and showing off some new tends by pairing shorts with both formal and casual looks!

Here are some of my favorite styles when it comes to Shorts

Denim

Denim is and will always be a popular choice for pants - Denim Shorts are great because it is versatile and goes any shirt or look!

Semi Formal

Semi Formal Shorts are great to pull together a more “dressed up” look. When paired with a blazer and collared shirt you’ll look chic and on trend!

Hip-Hop   

The Hip-Hop trend is coming back with Shorts in bright and printed colours! This is a great beach or chilled look for easygoing guys!

Fashion Froward

The Fashion Forward style is all about Fashion and making a stamen, if you want to pull of this trend go for Shorts in bold prints or Shorts that has interesting style lines.
