Alexander McQueen Resort 2012
Chic Edge

The Alexander McQueen Resort collection is yet again spectacular beyond words, Sarah Burton has shown that the McQueen edge is still very much alive and her design esthetic can only be described as genius!

This latest collection is standing in its own light and has completely reinvent mainstream trends drawing inspiration form romance and luxury. There are shuttle hints of vintage styling against the sharp tailoring which makes this range so beautiful! This is what the Utility style is suppose to look like!

The transition between the “ready to wear” collection and the couture creations is effortless and beautiful!

MFM
Workable Fashion
Trendoid Tuesdays only on MFM92.6

The latest trend hitting us straight from the runway is Work Wear For Men; this is a brave and completely new way of looking at fashion in a more practical way.

Work Wear like Industrial Overalls & Boiler Suits was never meant to be fashionable or trendy, BUT lately these items have been making their debut in Designer Collections!

Here is a closer look at some of theses NEW “Workable Fashions”

The Industrial Overall

Something that is commonplace in the mining and logging industry is now seen on the high streets of fashion capitals around the world. When this trend became popular designers responded with their own unique twist to ensure fashion & luxury reigns supreme! The shape of the Industrial Overall stays the same but designers are using expensive fabrics to counter act the WORKING aspect of these collections.

The Boiler Suit

The Boiler Suit is the backbone for any handyman or industrial worker; now as a fashion item it draws inspiration form the strong Military look that is taking place in the fashion industry this season. These suits are becoming the new corporate look with younger guys wearing it with dress shirts and ties to create a more edgy corporate style.

Worker Gloves

Used mainly in the industry to prevent scrapes and cuts the worker glove has always been made of high-grade leather or suede so the transition to fashion was quite obvious – the fashion industry is all about luxury and originality and these worker inspired gloves ticks both these boxes, it is made from the best leather and it is new and original.

Safety Boots

The big trend in men’s shoes are distressed leather boots, so the Safety Boot is just a great alternative for the same old leather boots every one else is wearing. The key is to wear them in a more fashion forward way, by tucking your jeans into them or by folding over the top half to create a trendier look.

Here’s some more Working Men looks form G Star’s 2011 Autumn/Winter collection!

MFM
Hair maketh the MAN
Trendoid Tuesdays only on MFM92.6

Hair and Style goes hand in hand with creating a unique look for your self! Here is a look at the hottest trends in men’s hair this winter:

The Messy Hawk

The Messy Hawk is where Mohawk meets Madness, basically a Mohawk styled in a more messy way. My personal favorite and what I rock every day!

The Preppy Boy Short Cut

This is a great style for guys that don’t like to fuss for hours in front of the mirror, simply cut short and worn either messed up a bit or with a sick side part.

The Retro Slick

With the current retro vibe happening the Slick 50’s style is back, not the easies look to pull off but definitely unique and on trend!\

The James Dean Cut

James Dean was known for his cool style and hair. This is an easy style to get use to – medium length and styled to the back with “matt clay” for a textured look.

Return of the Messy “bed head”

The “I just woke up and went out” look was very popular a few years ago and its definitely back this winter. This is a very easy style to pull off, all you need is some “shaping wax” added to your short dry hair and your done!

Tune in next Tuesday for another Trendoid Tuesday where I will be brining your more Men’s trends and fashion advice only on MFM92.6
