Thula Sindi – Cape Town Fashion Week 2011 Resort Collection

It’s important to bear in mind that this isn’t aThula Sindi for Edgars range; this is the same collection that Thula Sindioffers to his private clientele. At some point in the design & manufacturingproses every piece of fashion passes through Thula Sindi’s hands, so Edgars’customers are getting the same boutique quality and style that stars likeBridget Masinga, Caprice, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Noni Gasa, Penny Lebyaneand Precious Moloi-Motsepe gets to enjoy.

This new addition to Edgars is excellent! I loveThula Sindi and would definitely recommend getting a few items for summer formthis collection.

MFM
Men’s Trends
Chambray & Stripes
Trendoid Tuesday only on MFM92.6

Another two trends I’ve picked up on for this summerare Chambray & Stripes shirts. Loads of designer labels are using these twotrends in their latest summer collections and I think they will trending herein SA pretty soon.

Chambray
Chambray is a lightweight fabric that looks a bitlike Denim, it is cool and comfortable and great for hot summer days. They comein different colours but the colours you should go for this summer is pastel Blue,Red and Indio.

Stripes
Nautical Stripes are making a comeback for guys thissummer; I’ve seen lots of tank and T’s coming down the runway sporting thisnautical feel. Get them this trend in T’s, Tanks or Pants, and if you don’twant to go stripes head to toe then go for a two tone or split option.

1 + 1 = on trend
Combine these 2 trends for a really cool look!

More of these trends at the Autonomy Spring Summer show HERE
Tune in next Tuesday for Trendoid only on MFM92.6

Autonomy
Spring/Summer
2011

Australian Design House Autonomy’s latestSpring/Summer Collection is combination of urban styles and more “traditional”trends. Over all the collection consisted out of Plaid & Chambray fabricsand Striped T’s & Khaki Shorts making this range very easy to pull off forany guy.

The only criticism I have is with the models –grungy, unshaven, and oddly shaped guys did not do this collection justice. Idid however LOVE the “Captains Blazer” that Autonomy reintroduced.

Best Dressed

The award for Best Dressed actress at this year’sEmmy Awards would have to go to Nina Dobrev. This The Vampire Diaries starlooked spectacular in this red Dona Karen gown.

Worst Dressed

At every award show there will be a Worst Dressedlady and the award for Worst Dressed Actress at this year’s Emmy Awards wouldhave to go to Kathy Griffin in this Oscar de la Renta dress. The old silhouette, big hair, heavy makeup and general lack of poise is what placed Kathy Griffinon my Worst Dressed list.
